We pride ourselves on delivering timely feedback to families. Following the testing date, informal feedback is communicated to the family either on the same or following day. Because families desire feedback to efficiently get the right supports in place, we often schedule the final conference within 10-14 days from the testing date. We have worked with clients and families who previously worked with other providers and did not receive their feedback until 6 to 12 weeks following their appointment.
We don't just hand off the report to you and wish you well. We welcome and encourage continued follow-up to guide you along your journey. Many families check in during major transitions (e.g., from elementary to middle school, from middle school to high school, or from high school to college) for updated guidance.
Dyslexia accounts for 80% of all learning disorders. Because of its high prevalence, we are very experienced and knowledgeable of reading, its development, common deficits affecting development, and strategies needed to assist with remediation across the developmental lifespan from primary school through college and into adulthood.
Dyscalculia, or specific difficulties with the computational aspects of math development, are often foundational reasons behind struggles in math. Additionally, many suffering from math disorders struggle with the higher-level applied math skills. Our evaluations will pinpoint where the difficulties are and will provide clear guidance on the most appropriate strategies for intervention.
Writing is a very complex academic skill and can be affected by fine motor development, language, and/or executive functioning such as initiation, planning, and organization. We take a neuropsychological approach to understanding where the difficulties in writing occur to provide the most effective path needed to address the identified difficulties.
Very highly connected to learning and other neurodevelopmental disorders, ADHD is quite common. Sometimes it can come across as more inattentive (many refer to as ADD) while others present with more hyperactivity and impulsivity. We take a holistic approach to ensure there is nothing biological or environmental affecting necessary executive functions, and we look at possible explanatory emotional links. Our thorough evaluation looks across both development and environments, and it thoroughly blends this with neuropsychological assessments.
In our evaluations, we fully address social functioning and reasons behind difficulties with interactions, reciprocity, and atypical behavioral presentations and responses. We address multiple facets of social development, langauge, and behavior subsequently leading to the best methods for intervention.
Very often, depression and/or anxiety are connected to or even explanatory for difficulties in learning, social functioning, executive functioning, or other life difficulties. As part of our thorough approach, we address the critcial component of emotional functioning to understand its primary, secondary, or corrolary connection to life functioning.
This evaluation package includes a very thorough analysis of a client's functioning and will often be a full-day evaluation. We assess cognition, memory, executive functioning including the regulation of attention, and social-emotional functioning. At the heard of this package is a deep dive into learning to understand if dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, or other learning disorders are present.
The ADHD Evaluation package is identical to the Comprehensive Learning Evaluation, but it does not include the in-depth look at academic learning. We still evaluate cognition, memory, executive functioning, and social-emotional functioning. This evaluation package is often completed in a half day of testing.
Our final evaluation package helps us address concerns about social connections and development commonly associated with autism spectrum disorder. This package is identical to the Comprehensive Learning Evaluation as it assesses cognition, memory, academic learning, executive functioning, and social-emotional functioning. This evaluation will include more depth in assessing and interpreting social development and functioning.
This evaluation package is for families and clients who have already completed testing. Whether a family or client wants a second opinion or if they want additional questions answered, we can look at previously completed testing and provide our recommendations for the evaluation process. We may not need to repeat certain facets of the testing while integrating previous testing results into our written report. This can reduce the time needed for direct testing and reduce the pricing of the evaluation.
We continue to provide IEEs for families who are approved by their local public school district. In these circumstances, we connect with both the family and the district to provide an independent analysis of a student's functioning. This requires a written contact with the district, and the evaluation will thoroughly assess a student's functioning to help understand if they need special education services and what services would best fit their needs.
We offer free, no-pressure consultations to make sure you are comfortable with our approach. We will detail the evaluation process, cover the costs, and go over availability. We will continually answer any questions you may have and/or point you in the right direction. Ultimately, the most important service we can provide is to help you along your journey even if you don't utilize our evaluation services.
If you decide to book with us, we will schedule a 30- to 45-minute virtual clinical intake prior to the evaluation date. We will provide paperwork to complete before this intake to help guide our discussion. The intake will ensure we are fully addressing your needs and provide clarification of the next steps in the evaluation process.
The evaluation occurs in-person at our offices in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Depending on the referral concern and evaluation package, the evaluation will occur for a half day or a full day commonly consistent with a school day.
We often start at 9 am and work until 12 pm before we take a lunch break. For our full learning and autism evaluations, we are commonly completing the evaluation process by 3 pm. For some, we may ask to spread the evaluation process across multiple days.

We pride ourselves in providing feedback quickly because we know our families want answers as soon as possible, and this helps to ensure we are providing the right interventions and supports in the most efficient manner possible. We almost always provide a time for a comprehensive feedback session within two weeks, and often it occurs within one week. You will be provided a thorough written report, ane we will provide clear guidance based on our recommendations.
If you are having your child evaluated, we will discuss options of providing a feedback session for them. Most often, we provide a feedback session for parents first then identify the best way to go over the results with the child.
Following the feedback, we are always available to answer additional questions or to provide guidance further down the road. Families and clients often reach out to us during major transitional milestones to ensure the right supports are being provided.
